Air Serbia has successfully operated its first-ever nonstop flight between Belgrade and Tokyo Narita Airport. This special charter flight was arranged to transport representatives from 160 Japanese companies who are scheduled to hold discussions with the Serbian government and business stakeholders in Belgrade this week.
Aircraft change for the charter flight
Initially, Air Serbia planned to deploy its Airbus A330-200 aircraft, registered YU-ARB, for the flight. However, a last-minute change saw the airline use another aircraft of the same type, registered YU-ARC, for the service instead.
Return flight scheduled for October 18
A second flight will be operated by Air Serbia on October 18 to transport the business delegation back to Tokyo. The outbound flight from Belgrade, which only carried crew members, took 12 hours and 4 minutes to complete. The return flight to Tokyo Narita is currently en route and is expected to take approximately 13 hours and 10 minutes.
